Now Hear This… Dent May “Eastover Wives”

When I first heard Dent May’s “Eastover Wives” it reminded me of a Marvin Gay song from the 70’s.  That smooth sax, the beat, it has the makings of a great retro R ‘n’ B record.  His voice reminds me of Elvis Costello.  A deep soulful, but not overly polished emotional tone.  I love the lyrics too “..high school sweethearts only talk about the weather. Never sleep together.  Looks like she’s cracking under pressure.”  The song sounds like it could have been played at someone’s prom in the 70’s or early 80’s.  I have been jamming to this song for 2 days and show no sign of letting up.  Check it out below.
