Flyleaf’s take of U2’s “Stay (Faraway, So Close)” is such a beautiful track. I am a fan of the original, but when lead singer Lacey Mosley refines her vocals from screaming to singing it hits you to the core. A heartbreaking version that would make anyone feel something. You forget that Flyleaf is generally a heavy rock band with loud guitars and a rough, dark tone to them. This is a great departure for them and showcases their ability to do more than scream, play loudly, and still get their point across.
